Fundraising Ideas

Here are some fun fundraising ideas to get everyone at your nursery involved in GENErating lots of money on Jeans for Genes Day – and having fun, too!

Boy eating jam tarts Sell them, don't eat them all!
GENEration teatime

Get baking the old-fashioned way! How about dusting down some great recipes that your granny or great granny might have used, such as jam tarts, treacle tarts, or sponge rolls?

Or the children might like decorating muffins or gingerbread men as one of the Fifi and the Flowertots characters?  These simple and delicious teatime treats can then be shared and sold on the Day.

Get the JEANeration look

Everyone could dress up in the jeans which their parents would have worn.  Toddlers could dress as their mums and dads today and staff could look at '80s style diamante, rhinestones and shoulder pads or become hippychicks, Mods, Rockers or Teddy Boys!

Get sponsored to get the look, or sell tickets to a JEANeration fashion show!

GENEration mural

Create a colourful mural which celebrates different generations. Why not ask local businesses to give a donation to display the artwork and invite your local newspaper to take photographs?

Guess the GENEration

Ask the children to bring in photos of their grandparents when they were little and challenge them and their parents (for a small fee) to see if they can spot a resemblance!

GENErate extra funds with Fifi and the Flowertots!

Fifi and her friends are back this year with four brand new zip-pull designs.  You can order boxes of 50 to sell on a sale or return basis.

You can also buy them from our webshop or at retailers across the country.

Take a look at our Fifi page for more details.  Your toddlers could also dress up and pay an extra donation to have their faces painted as Fifi or her friends for the Day!
