Ten reasons why...

Thank you for organising a Jeans for Genes Day at your organisation.  We want your Day to be a huge success, to be lots of fun and to GENErate lots of money!  Our ‘ten reasons why’ will get everyone behind you.

10 reasons why your boss should be behind Jeans for Genes Day

1.  It’s fun and simple to organise.  All you have to do is ask people to come to work in their jeans and make a donation!
2.  It’s a great way to bring a team, a floor or the whole company together.  Sell cakes at lunchtime, flirt at the photocopier (your jeans will kick off the conversation!) and carry the party on into the evening at a local bar.
3.  It can help to raise the profile of your organisation – highlight what you’ve done for Jeans for Genes in your annual report, feature how much you raised on your website and intranet, and get your picture in the local paper or trade magazine.
4.  Staff will think it’s great – the boss will look good for letting you all wear your jeans.
5.  £100 will pay for a downstairs sink in a family’s home; vital for children who have no natural defence against fungal or bacterial infections.
6.  Create a bit of role reversal and give the boss a 'day off' – sponsor him or her to make the tea or do the photocopying.
7.  It’s great fun but it doesn’t have to disrupt the working day.
8.  Jeans for Genes is a small, friendly team who will help you every step of the way.  Contact us if you’ve got any questions or if you want to chat through your ideas on 020 7163 6901 or email us at hello@jeansforgenes.com
9.  Raising money on Jeans for Genes Day helps your company to meet its corporate social responsibility targets.
10.  Jeans for Genes is the original and best dress-down day!

10 reasons why your colleagues should be behind Jeans for Genes Day

1.  Wearing jeans and having some fun in the office starts the weekend that bit earlier!
2.  It's a chance to show off your fashion credentials in that new pair of jeans, or just be  comfortable in your old favourites around the office for the Day.
3.  It creates friendly but motivational competition between departments - set up denim challenges between admin, sales and IT.
4.  You and colleagues will get the satifaction of knowing that you've really made a difference to the lives of children with genetic disorders.
5.  £250 will buy a recliner chair so that a child with an immune deficiency can sit comfortably during a four hour infusion to give them vital antibodies.
6.  More than half of all childhood deaths in the UK are related to genetic disorders.
7.  The fun and fundraising don't have to stop at 5.30pm.  Make a night of it, who knows, it could lead to a denim date and make all your denim dreams come true!
8.  There are more than 4,000 recognised genetic disorders and they affect one in 33 children born in the UK.
9.  Tell the local media what you're up to on Jeans for Genes Day and your colleagues could see themselves in the local paper, on the Jeans for Genes website and even on TV!
10.  Jeans for Genes Day is the original and best dress-down day!
