Care and support events, the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign

Muscular dystrophy is the cruel and relentless wasting and weakening of muscles.  At its most severe people are literally unable to move a muscle and have a shortened life expectancy.  There are currently no cures or treatments.

There are more than 60 different types of muscular dystrophy and muscle related diseases they affect more than 60,000 people in the UK.

Five care and support days are being organised to offer families a day tailored to their condition.

The days will give affected families the information they need to lead independent lives and healthcare professionals will be on hand to give specialist advice.

Jeans for Genes is fully funding the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign for these care and support events – it is your donations make them possible.
